The
Cranberries
The Cranberries were in 1990 in Limerick,
Ireland by brothers Noel (g) and Mike Hogan (b) and drummer
Feargal Lawler founded. Originally equipped with a singer, the
band decided, however, quickly, this attractive against Dolores
O `Riordan einzutauschen.
This proved to be a correct decision, as
O'Riordan has developed thanks to their appearance and their
high Aushängschild the unmistakable voice of the band. Already
the debut "Everybody else is doing it, so why can not we?
(1993) brought together with the two hit" Linger "and" Dreams
"global success. The sequel to" No need to argue "(1994) sold
better not least because of the civil war and the sadness
classic "Zombie", its largest single success.
However, the success also showed its darker
side. Especially the sensitive singer was the star of the hype
it received kidneys and rumors of a separation order. But the
band stayed together and in 1996 its fans happy with the
guitar-oriented "To the faithful departed, and in 1999 with the
usual Folkwavepop of" Bury the Hatchet. " O'Riordan has since
married and is mother has become - the quiet family life is
important for them to stop Rockstar counterpoint to become
stressful.
